Building 8

Today is the first time I noticed anything I like about this building.

Grandpa Sweater

This guy is 87 and totally loves taking advantage of everything you can get away with as a crotchety old man from dumb jokes, to language, to crazy clothes, to knowing everything better than the young whipper snappers. Basically he was a riot in the classroom and was quite amusing. He spent the whole time telling us "ethical" stories from his years as VP of xerox while precariously "perched" on a table in the class room.

Learning from Mistakes...

You know those times when you try and blow snow off a car and it comes back in your face? You feel silly. Those times when you blow sand off something and it gets in your eyes. You’re irritated. Then there are those times when you are cleaning your penguin pepper dispenser of the fine pepper dust accumulated in the dispenser... If asked what pepper spray is made from I would probably guess peppers but I’ve never had reason to think about that before. It turns out it’s from cayenne peppers and not black pepper. So yeah, maybe my pepper dispenser has a cupped portion that I blew on. I shut my eyes a bit late and realized that black pepper would make great pepper spray as well. Couldn’t really see for about 10 minutes and my eye felt rather warm for a while after that... =P

oh yeah, almost got too busy to notice...

So I accidentally almost forgot to look around with how busy things have been. Avoiding that problem was the reason I started blogging. So now I'm postponing homework to post some fun stuff. For future reference though it's dangerous to skate down the middle of the street looking down taking pictures.

The Sentinel

The Coolest I've ever seen the Sentinel look.
Saw a kid running towards it with a tripod and camera right as I was leaving.

Amusing Assumptions

So today there was a young boy of about 8 (Let's call him François) with his father. His dad was held up (looking at some art) and François wanted to move on. Just when he expected his dad to come... I came. Without looking he started walking down the hall with me, his 'father'. So we walked together down the hallway to the SAU together, him ahead of me by about a yard. I'm sure he could see that I was his dad and was right on his heels. As we left François' dad way behind and François showed no sign of waiting for him I made the connection that he thought I was his dad. Taking 2 large steps I walked up even with François, he realized all too quickly that I was a college student and not his father. He stopped dead in his tracks, spun around, and 'smoothly' returned quickly down the length of the hall to his father who was still waiting there oblivious.

I smiled. Kids are fun.

Was that cool?

So I'm pretty sure when I took the picture there were about 5 glowing spots on the lense in 3 different colors, some seem to have vanished since then... I think the sun is still playing tricks on us here in Rochester.
